Phangnga is famous for its shrimp paste, called
kapi, which comes in several styles, such as
Kapi Koh Yao and Kapi Koh Panyi. Also popular
is Gung Siab, which is a dried shrimp eaten
with a kapi based spicy condiment called nam
prik. These items can be found in local
stores and markets everywhere in Phangnga.
